The remote had arrived and all is well, thank you very very much for your help. I can honestly say this is the best service I have received from an electronic company. I have purchased a number of electronic gizmos in the past few years and dread dealing with any of them when I encounter any issues but dealing with you and Kanto has been an absolute pleasure. I will definitely be looking at more products from Kanto as I have to be honest, when I first bought the IPair 5’s, I didn’t expect to get the sound that I did, for the price I paid. These simply blew me away. I actually use these to listen to music over my DynAudio Focus 110’s which speaks for itself.

I just got the replacement Speaker. Thank you so much! It works perfect, and I am absolutely wrapped about your service.
When you wrote about sending a replacement powered unit, somehow I thought you meant just the cable.
I am truly impressed that you sent out a whole new speaker. You guys are awesome.

A BIG thanks to Kanto Speakers from Norway. I received my new iPair 5
today and they look great, sound great and the built quality are
amazing. The cables are tick and good, not like those puney cables that
usually comes with iPod speakers. The first music I played on my new
speakers was Rush. Canadian speakers(?) deserves canadian music ;-)
Listening to Neil Peart hammering on his drum set on Kanto iPair5 is
just FUN!

We love out Ipair5!! They're incredibly easy to use, and the sound is
AMAZING!! My friend has a Bose stero system which I've always been
envious of because of the awesome sound. These are AS good if not
better sound quality ~ and the louder you turn them up, the better the
bass is. We've tried them in a closed bedroom, and for the whole house
set in the living room, and the sound quality is consistenly excellent. I
love that I can charge and listen to my Ipod at the same time, and the
Ipair is so easy to just move from room to room I can take it w/ me when
I take a bath!
The quality of the Ipair is excellent ~ they're beautifuly crafted,
and look great in any room. I just can't say enough good about these,
I'm thrilled w/ them!!

While I'm not an audiophile by any means (oscilloscope hooked up to my sources to look for noise in the signal...no.) I've always enjoyed and known what sounds good. Since the whole digital media player revolution came about the issue has never been the quality of what goes into the device, uncompressed or high bitrate files take care of that, the issue has been getting large and clear sound out of the device. Yes, there are very nice D/A convertors and docks out on the market for iDevices that do a wonderful job of letting you hook up your player to a larger stereo system but I've been searching for something more convenient and stand alone. With the iPair 5 I feel that has been solved.
In what I call "race car red" because of the immaculate and beautiful fit and finish of the product, like a fine sports car, the iPair 5 performs wonderfully. Being a "true" stereo product and having the left and right channels in separate enclosures along with a separate mid-woofer and tweeter, one can fully appreciate the music they are listening to on a much larger stage and with much better clarity, detail, and nuance. While most companies are content to keep everything minimalist and sleek (read: easy to fabricate, package, and sell), to me the iPair 5 eschews that in favor of bold and rich sound AND looks. I've used, been a fan of and still am a fan of various companies that I've bought product from in the past: Altec Lansing, Bose, Boston Acoustics, JBL, Logitech, but the quality and simplicity of the iPair 5 simply stands out above the rest.
I'll admit when I made my purchase sight unseen and sound unheard I was hesitant but as soon as I gave the speakers a day or so of ever steadily increasing volume, my uncertainty vanished and the iPair 5 cemented itself as my favorite casual way of listening to my music. At low volumes (I do not pull punches in regards to expectations) the sound is a bit muddy but where these speakers shine is when you flog them. Seriously though, was a speaker setup this large and RED (a red so rich it looks liquid) made to be listened to softly? Nope, and that's why I love them.
The remote is simple, clean and functional, especially with the addition of the bass and treble controls which do an admireable job of making small adjustments to the sound. Sure, the remote could be improved in fit and finish given how wonderfully constructed the speakers themselves are but it's a VERY small gripe and the remote is no different than the almost dozen other ones I've had used from other vendors.
In summary the Kanto iPair 5 is phenomenal and I wish I would have known about it earlier because it would have saved me a lot of money and time listening to what I'd now consider inferior products. Keep up the good work and know that you've got a big fan who when given the opportunity will espouse the great satisfaction I get from listening to my speakers.

If your dog ate the remote that came with your Kanto iPod speaker system now you can get a replacement directly from us.
There are two remotes available. You'll need to check the serial number on the back of the unit and then decide which remote you need.
