First of all I have never been one to leave feed back on any item I have purchased. When ever I do purchase an item, I have a "high" level of exception for that product. For me to spend my hard earned money on something, it has to be great. No if's and or but's. To start with, my purchase arrived faster than excepted (just 4 days from Canada to Houston).
When I unpacked my ipair 5 in glossy red, I was blown away by the appearance. Nice beautiful smooth lines. Almost like it was put together by someone who cares about the product appearance. Vert nice!!
When I plugged in my iPhone 4 and fired up the tunes, OMG!, and I have never done an OMG! The sound clarity, the depth of field is simply amazing. It is almost impossible to believe that, that much sound is being produced by those monitors. I was under the impression that I was going to have a break in period before I was going to get good sound, as is the case with most high end audio gear. Not here, I was totally not prepared for what came out of the ipair 5. I've worked in the top 10 market in broadcast television for the past 21 years, and the ipair 5 is by far some of the nicest sounding monitors I've heard.
Great quality, Unbelievable sound reproduction. Truly a 5 star purchase!

OMG... I'm so speechless the sound quality is amazing, for 360$$ USD is
better than BOSE 10 soundock 600$$... For me is the best dock for ipod

I am absolutely amazed at the sound quality of those speakers. It is
like listening on good quality headphones. I can clearly ear every
instruments, from the deep bass to symbals and the piano sounds like I
have it just beside me. With most speakers, you have to stand close to
them to get the best sound. Those small speakers fill the room. The best
part is they cost about the same price as a mid quality amplifier. I'm
getting a second pair for my bedroom.

Ok, so I'm one of those guys that's just really even keel... don't get
too excited and don't get too upset about much. Few things meet my
expectations and extremely rare for something to exceed my expectations.
I read a great review of the SYD 5 and was looking for an iPod speaker.
Shopped all the usual suspects, but nothing blew me away. Really,
really going out on a limb for me to order a speaker off the internet
without hearing it first, in fact started to order it twice and stopped
before I finally said, hey it's a 30 day money back guarantee... just
order it. My "red" SYD 5 came in yesterday. I plugged it in, attached my
iPhone, put on an oldie that I love-- "Another One Bites the Dust";
pushed play and the next thing you know, I was saying "Are you kidding
me, you've got to be kidding me. This thing is amazing!!" To say the
least I was blown away with the sound. I never expected it to be that
damn good. I thought $359 was a pretty good penny to pay when I ordered,
but after hearing it, what a bargain!

Bought 2 SYD 5's from Mac Outpost in London ONT. The service I got from
Ian was excellent. This is the best sounding dock on the market did lots
of research before I made the purchase.

The Kanto iPair 5. YES. Just buy them, now. Beautiful sleek design and
finish. Lacquered wood cabinets. Mid to high frequency is superb. Voice?
Piano? WOW. Easily as good as something costing a grand, and even then
you'd have to have an amp to power them. At $360, I'm just floored. I've
gone through a lot of small speakers over the last few years. Living in
a townhouse, I can't stand having a system with a plastic "subwoofer"
rattling the walls with crap sound. Just returned another home theatre
system that just wouldn't cut it at all. I had lost hope that I'd find
powered speakers that I could live with. Thanks so much, Kanto, for
raising the bar with these gorgeous looking and sounding speakers from
Canada. Even my wife was excited about the way they look and sound. A
piece of furniture for our living room, she says. Now that's a first!
Our TV and streaming internet music is now awesome. Thanks for
surprising me with such superlative quality.
